Clarification (x86)
Win7 64 bit (initially upgraded from Vista, subsequently upgraded to 64 bit)
There are 2 Program Files directories under root C. One with an (x86) suffix and the other with no suffix.
1. Am I correct that the x86 extension implies that all programs listed under are 32 bit whereas absent the suffix all applications listed are 64 bit?
2. Assuming correct, whey wouldn't one (sensibly) be listed as (32) and the other (64)?
The above is in regard to IE explorer which I seldom use but when I do, as now and there is no icon shortcut floating around and need to create one and place it, I must choose the correct one (32 bit since 64 bit is not supported by Norton). To eliminate later confusion, can I rename the Program Files to Program Files_64 Bit?
