I never said Illegal - I ask that if you read it very slowly.
too many ppl who do not have the ability to 'UNDERSTAND"
WHAT IS WRITTEN. The simple fact is also. if you do not understand,
it can cause PROBLEMs.

The simple mention of using REGEDIT, (bothers me) I have been doing computer repair since 1985. REGEDIT is not for anybody and everybody to read. again this is ONLY MY OPINION.

why even bring it up. check to see if you have a REARM. It says 1 or 2 or 3.
OK great. move on.
next step is:
slmgr.vbs -rearm
next step is
slmgr.vbs -dlv to see how many days you have left. and how many rearms you have left.
simple.

I think you need to reread what you wrote yourself.

How is that NOT you saying illegal?

Before you lecture others on not reading, perhaps you should figure out if you actually said what you are saying you didn't.

There is IMO nothing wrong with mentioning REGEDIT if the OP has fully explained the ramifications of an incorrect edit. I myself have been working with computers (repair/install) for 13 years & have never hit problems with editing the registry so long as the documentation that the Average* user reading is clearly structured.

*i use the term average to describe users who just use their computers general every-day use, not the advanced use that includes editing critical software elements
