No that is not a laptop HD. You want 2.5" SATA laptop HD or SSD.

Ask in our Hardware forum for best advice.

Gregrocker posted a video of how to remove/ replace an hard drive which was simple enough. I've already taken the hard disk out and tried wiping off any dust etc.

But thanks for checking to see if you were close enough to help out.

Laptop stays at Black screen for 10+ mins after logging in
