What you're experiencing in this case is the default metadata view of files found in Windows 7 search. When you use the search feature, it doesn't have the ability to display the expanded metadata of all the different file types it finds (unlike when it displays everything within a single folder), so it displays a certain set of common metadata. Why, I'm not sure. Although Windows 7 search obviously worked and did what it should, the lack of expanded metadata in searches is definitely a shortcoming of the Windows 7 search for these particular cases where you need it.
