Please help before i pull my hair out completely lol

    Hi

I have a dell inspiron 1545 laptop and it was working brilliant till yesterday when it all of a sudden froze on me so the only way i could reboot it was by turning it off by holding the button. i left it for a few mins before i switched it back on again but for some reason it would not boot back up, it keeps asking me to so a system repair which is recommeded so i click to start the system repair and the laptop just freezers, i have tried to start it up normally but all it does it flashes a blue screen at me very quickly to the point where i cant even see wht it says on there and then it reboots again and i go round in cirles with with, i have tried to wipe it and start again but the disk gets to set up starting and it freezers, i have taken the battery out and cleared any elec that may be held there, i ahve tried to start in safe mode but it freezers, i have tried to press ctrl and f11 to see if i can do it that way but that wont even come up wth the screen it just goes back to the windows screen.. Please help i am at the end of my teather as to what to do now... If you are going to give me things to do please make them as dummy proof as you can i can do certain things on laptops but can get easily confused and if i have posted this in the wrong section i am sooooo sorry.

    Thanks
    xxxxxxxxxxxx

Follow this start up repair Startup Repair to fix the start up problem.

You can also try by pressing F8 to get advance boot options and choose last known good configuration.

Did you install some software or hardware just before this happened? If you did then try to uninstall it if you are able to access the Drive and try booting again.

Otherwise the easiest thing to do would be to begin afresh. Just clean reinstall Windows either from the Windows 7 DVD or the Recovery Partition.

I would Check the hard drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic tools.
Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.

Just like wanchoo have said, if you have installed new programs before it happened, you should uninstall it maybe because of incompatibility issues. You can do that by pressing F8 if you boot up again to run in the safe mode. then reboot again after uninstalling it - in a normal mode.

^^ That's a good suggestion by theog which you should do first and check to see any repair action will make your laptop bootable. (If you succeed in booting, the first thing you should do is to backup the OEM activation with Advanced Tokens Manager. https://www.sevenforums.com/windows-u...s-manager.html )

How old is your DELL laptop? Is it still under warranty?

If it is, then my advice will be to contact DELL technical support and check if they could help you. Dell support has always been good.

Did you make the Recovery Disks when you first received the laptop?

Do not rush to clean install on your own right now.

Even if your laptop is not under warranty, you may request for a OEM Reinstall Disk ( you are entitled to it) and Dell will send it free. ( A clean install with it will retain OEM activation and you will not be required to activate by any means.)

In the meantime you can try all suggestions by the experts here.(except a clean install)

If that's the case then you should really see a technician regarding that problem. But in my case I just do the things I have said earlier. maybe you really have different problems than us.
