    GEOS Rocked !

Hi Wenda, I too had GEOS on the later white C64--- not the C128 ---with a RAM? or memory expander that slid into expansion slot on back. GEOS was the poor persons Macintosh of the day.

I made a lot of use of GEOS and created an indpeth black and white coloring book using GEOS paint and draw program.

Use to clean the heads of the hard drive when they got dusty and stuff from floppy disk, once I cleaned HD could it read disks again no problem. Still had matrix printer, C64, expander, X-modem, tv connection cables and EA games till a couple of years ago when wife would not allow me to keep stuff in house any more so it all went to dump. Very depressing time for me.

We bought the first brown C64 at K-mart and I forget maybe got the white one there also, later on. I loved that computer but we eventually forked out $600.00 and got the last of the fruity purple imacs( OS 7 or 8 ) in stock.

Took that computer to OS9.6 and the end of that OS era.

    Hi All,

Just joined the forum to see if I could get some ideas on how to remove (completely) Playtopus. Still have some residual errors on start up. I teach kids that are too sick or too onery to go to class also I am an on line math tutor.

    Seems like a friendly place.

Been a long time lurker, but decided to finally start throwing my profile together and becoming an active member. Been a great forum over the years. Excited to be more active!

    Lurker

I too have been lurking around this forum since I don't know when.
I'm British and live in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Opened a small computer sales and service shop about four years ago, which keeps me out of mischief.
Picked up some useful tips on this forum and if I can give a little back, I'd be quite happy.
There's always something weird around the corner so to speak.
    Cheers!
