#623 | | Windows 7 Home Premium OA - has both 32 and 64 bit capacity, I believe |
Greetings Stopping in to say "hello" and thank you for posting some great info that seems as if it may be a resolution to my system32/ntfs problem which, I believe, started when I was watching Dexter all night long, catching up on the series via Comcast online - woke-up early in morning to find computer locked up/frozen - then showing some sort of error with my Kapersky software (no longer identifying my registration key - showing it as invalid). Since this did happen on Wednesday morning AFTER using EI browser for the first time in history of computer (and there was some freaky-deaky update that rolled out on Sunday night that was even giving the boss trouble on Monday morning with her Norton Anti-virus via the browser - so I am assuming that friend using IE to check email resulted in update issue that was escalated into a more serious issue since I had been running puter throughout night and memory/cache, etc/etal were also highly taxed) - the combo put my new lappie into a perpetual state of dove flying with peace branch and light blue background, looping repeatedly to the Dell System Recovery Options screen for the past 3 days!
I do have a couple of rudimentary questions re: this Dell System Recovery Options pop-up - specifically and especially the last option; "Dell DataSafe Restore and Emergency Backup" - and also the Restore and Image Recovery options, too.
Not sure which area to go for this since it is specific to Dell AND it involves my foolishness with not burning the system discs (for shame as I hold my head low and tail between legs whimpering away broken and defeated).
Any suggestions on which sections to post questions about how to get my lappie back to any state that will allow me to burn those backup discs would be greatly appreciated.
lmc | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Inspiron N5110 Lappie OS Windows 7 Home Premium OA - has both 32 and 64 bit capacity, I believe Internet Speed wireless right now and on Verizon ViOS Other Info Newer computer to me so I am unsure of the details and, NO, I did NOT create the backup discs - didn't have any spare discs to burn them! 1st time for everything - and, of course, this is the time that I now actually need them... |
