Windows 7: I think my computer died!!

Alright, immediately after i press the power button the black screen with blinking cursor comes out. I cant use ANY function key, and cd drive wont read disks. Any ideas how can i fix it? or is it dead??



Its a friends computer not sure what the specs are, all i know is that its Windows 7 64 bit, 4g Ram

Cant use a recovery disk because a message comes out saying error reading disk.

And like i said i cant use any FUNCTION key nor does it Restart when pressing ctrl + alt + delete

little more info would help us help you . please fill in your system specs.
have you tryed inpluging the system and remove the battery? let it out for about 1 hour and see if it helps.
