Do you have another graphics card laying around?
its possible that the card itself is faulty, although not common ... possible.

If you un-install all the Nvidia drivers, shut down and put in a known good card and all is OK, Id see about RMAing the graphics card.

The only other thing I can think of is the cable itself. Are you using DVI or HDMI?
If HDMI, try a DVI ... or a diffrent cable all together if you have an extra somewhere.

You may also want to try a in-place upgrade to the latest driver.
Choose Custom Install, then Check the Box for "Clean installation"
Also, uncheck (do not install) the 3D vision drivers. theres 2 boxs for 3D youll need to uncheck. See if that helps you.

My old graphics card does work fine. I tried this with a 440 GT and a 560 GTX and no avail.

I will try to disable the 3d.

How about trying a different PCIe slot for the GPU card if you have one.

Got a new ASUS mobo, and getting a new processor tomorrow. If it is still failing then something must be wrong with the card itself (although it is unlikely)

Installing new CPU tomorrow and will return with results.

Old mobo was X231R 0X231R DP55M01 | Dell Studio Xps 8000 Motherboard X231R
