How do I change pinned .txt file icon to default.

How do I change pinned .txt file icon to default.

I've pinned some of my text files on Notepad for faster access, but it is very annoying to see that old generic notepad icon. It wasn't like that before. I don't know how it happened.

I've already tried rebuilding IconCache.db, restarted the PC but still the same.

set windows explorer in "details"view or "list" view. so you see smaller icons. Are those smaller icons now also wrong?

Hello zhrike, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if rebuilding the icon cache may help.

Hope this helps,

I think I just solved it. I just uninstalled the other text editors such as Notepad++ and e text-editor, restarted the pc then installed it again.

That's great news zhrike. I'm happy to hear that it seems to be sorted.

If it turns out not to be, then just let us know.
