    Windows not deleting files properly

When i try to uninstall or delete a file or folder it shows that it is gone in explorer but if i open up the folder in for example the browser in object (which uses an explorer windows) I still see the file along with a lock on the lower left hand corner of the thumbnail, I'm not sure what that means and why it doesnt show in explorer, also if it is a folder and i try to go to the directory it says it doesn't exist, I see the files in other browsing windows too but dont see them in another file manager

I've seen this problem at SF before, I just can't find the thread.

I do know that there is an updated chipset driver for your system - Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

It says my drivers are up to date and there is no option for manual download for nforce 430, so i updated with windows update. And what exactly is SF?

Is this maybe an artifact of the "Previous Versions" feature? Where Explorer itself is aware of "old" files and hides them till you go looking for previous file versions explicitly but other file exploreres arent aware of them and show them anyway?

Normally when you see a folder that "Doesn;t Exist", it's a sign that it really isn't there, it's a "link" to the real folder that the System is keeping track of somewhere else. There are several system controlled folders that do this. Usually you don;t see them if system files are hidden.

I'm not sure what the Previous Versions behavior is for deleted files though. Does it keep a copy around anyway? Or does it delete the file and all stored "versions"?

You might try turning off the Previous Versions (It's a property of the drive in explorer) and see if that behavior stops.

Maybe a stupid question: Does this happen in all folders you are trying to delete, or only in folders belonging to ObjectDock?

well its happened only a few times like i unistalled samurize put the folders still had the lock on them and didnt show in explorer, and no it doesnt happen all the time, the only times i can think of it happening when i delete a large number of files like when uninstalling a program

    clean install on new partition

the previous versions seems like a good idea, ill try that out
edit: tried the previous versions but i have none
