Windows 7: BOOTMGR is missing - Can't find OS in recovery options

Hi guys was wondering if anyone could help me. When I boot up my laptop I get this message BOOTMGR is missing

So I put in the recover disk but my OS isn't on the list to select to repair or restore
It's a sata hdd and my OS is windows 7 32 bit

Is the HD still seen in BIOS? Can you access your files using this method: Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console

If yes on both, work through these steps for when Windows 7 fails to boot

Hi thanks for ur time and reply I can find my hdd in bios but I don't hav a clue what the copy and paste in recovery options is sorry I'm new to this

Once you confirm your files are intact and copy out any which need rescue externally, boot into System Recovery Options, open a Command Line to type: bootrec /fixboot then press enter,and bootrec /fixmbr followed by enter.

Now reboot and try running Startup Repair repeatedly.

If these fail start working through the additional steps for when Windows 7 fails to boot

Sorry I tried to follow that tutorial but I don't understand what files to copy and paste or where to find them

Do you have files you need to rescue? When you click on Computer in the explorer shown, can you browse to see if they are there and copy them out externally? At least see if your files are intact. Is there a WIndows Folder.

You may have better luck if you have files to copy out using free Paragon rescue disk to recover data.

Or you can skip directly to the steps I gave you in the last post to try to repair Windows 7. The bootrec commands may force Windows 7 to show up in the windows for repair. If not follow the other steps given in blue link.

I asked you if you have personal files which need rescue, because they are not backed up?

This is the first thing you want to do before proceeding because having no installation show for repair makes successful repair less likely even though we will try everything possible.
