Will Eight run under Windows 7 VM? Anybody try to install it there? Just wondering since it's not on the VM support list (yet).

Thanks but no thanks. This is the reason I don't want a VHD. And, I don't want VirtualBox. I want Windows VM and that was the reason for the original question. I already have it installed. XP runs great with WVM and I have the use of USBs. I also didn't have to go through a bunch of hocus-pocus to get the CD and printer to work. Unless something has changed recently, WVM is the only VM that supports USBs. Just wondered if anyone tried to install it under Windows 7 VM?The drawback is that you have to boot into that Windows 8 VHD separately, whereas the installation with VirtualBox allows you to run Windows 8 within your existing system, and you can switch back and forth between both in the blink of an eye.
VirtualBox and VMware told me. I guess my "recently" is out of date. Looks like VirtualBox gained support for USBs with Version 4 around December of 2010. Looks like some folks even got it work in 2011. I was looking the early part of 2011. I just don't like leaning a new language at my age and dealing with ring 0 and ring 3, whatever that is. I won't even go into VMware. What a mess that is but it looks like Version 8 supports Windows 8 as a guest. Didn't look much more on USB after reading about emulation.
I gave up on Windows 8. Formatted the partition and removed it from boot manager. I won't be going back to it.
I tried it again today, having to use my Linksys wand since it doesn't support the Linksys card on my desktop.
Install is amazingly fast, the buttons patchworks is still annoying on a desktop without touch but I will this time take the time to parse it all. For now I mainly toggle from there to Desktop using Windows key.
Without a Start button I am working from Library shortcuts - WHY?
I believe it is faster in everything including the internet. I'll need to compare it a bit more and have Perfection waiting on my other partition if I need to bail out from Mess with Perfection.
Win8 doesn't use their next-gen file system yet does it? When is that even going to be ready? Been delayed for what seems like forever now.
I have Windows 8 dual boot with Windows 7 and I have learned to like it. It does seem faster then Win 7. I got my Start screen set up like I want and find it easy to use. After that its a lot like Win 7. All my hardware works and I am still trying some of my software with no problems yet. Here is my Start screen. Don't need a lot on the Desktop as the Start screen is one click away. It does need some beauty tips but that will come.
