Windows Explorer -> NEW -> txt file?

How do I create a new txt file into Windows Explorer? (right click -> New)

Only "New Folder" is visible by defaut.

Is there any registry string to insert, to create new file types to add?

Using search function, nobody else seem have asked the same question before.

    Thanks in advance!

    EDIT:

    I answer myself...
It's magically appeared the whole "menu" once I've installed Open Office!

    Hello Delpinsky,

It may also be that you had done this in a root folder (ex: C: drive or C:\Windows). You may need to go down one more folder level to see all of them.

    Hope this helps,

It works everywhere after installation of Open Office
(whiles before it didn't work in any folder I tried, from internal to external disks)

Seems like it needed an application to "add" new entries... to start working.

    Thanks, bye!

    Delpinsky,

I'm happy to hear that you got it sorted. Thank you for posting back your results.
