basic disk to dynamic disk

i have made a partition in windows 7 using disk management.. after finishing a message displayed that this will convert all ur disk basic to dynamic disk and u will not able to load ur windows os from other disk except where it is installed,, !!!!!!!!
Is there any problem in this.. i m having 5 partitions namely.. C,D,system partition G of 199mb, E,, and now new volume H..
also what is this system partition G contains that does not show the files which it contains..
Please tell me if i have risked my laptop by creating partition and converting basic disk to dynamic disk???????

You do not want to convert the disk to dynamic.

Instead, you can create logical partitions using the tutorial below for this.

thanks.. but the problem is that i have converted all the disks to dynamic!!!! what are the disadvantages of this and how i will come out of this????? Is there any need to convert again dynamic to basic disk????

If the disk you converted to dynamic has a operating system installed on it, then you will no longer be able to boot to or start that OS anymore from boot.

You can use OPTION FOUR in the tutorial below to convert the disk back to basic without losing anything. To bbe extra safe, I would strongly recommend to backup anything that you do not want to lose first though.

i cant delete the dynamic disk as it contains the windows operating system..,, also i m not able to select that disk in partition recovery wizard...

If you lose bootability you can burn a free Partition Wizard bootable CD on another computer and boot it to do these operations.

Download version 4.2 from here to burn to CD like since that is the last version of PW in which this is a free feature. pw422.zip ISO - Windows Live . Use an image burner like ImgBurn.

Click on the HD # to highlight it, then from the Disk tab select Convert Dynamic Disk to Basic, OK, Apply step at left. Video here: http://www.partitionwizard.com/video...rtdynamic.html

If Win7 will not boot after conversion, boot back into PW CD to make sure the WIn7 partition is marked Active, then from Disk tab select Rebuild MBR, Apply, reboot.
