    keys don't work on booting


    Hi

    I bought a new inspiron n5110.
    I want install windows 7, but in booting, when says "press any key to boot from cd/dvd", none of the keys do not work!


    pls help me

    This seems strange. As you are getting the message for booting from DVD, the BIOS boot order is correct. This means that there is no input from the Keyboard. If the machine is a Desktop then disconnect the Keyboard and reconnect it properly. Try and reboot and press another key to boot. If the same thing happens then contact the vendor and ask him to help you out.

    In addition, ensure that the "Legacy USB" function in the BIOS is turned ON.

    Here is the scoop on your problem. You have a USB keyboard and it is plugged into a USB card slot, is that correct? Instead of the card, plug it into a USB slot that connects to the Motherboard. Usually there is one on the front of the PC near the bottom. The keyboard in the card slot does not become active until you are already in Windows so it is too late to get in the bios. Give it a try.

    Thanks all.
    My problem solved.
    This issue was accoured by usb mouse. When unplugged it and rebooted, keyboard worked correctly.
