driver verifier on, constant freezes and restarts

My computer restarts out of nowhere anytime during or after the windows loading screen. It wont restart when i boot into safe mode, or if im sitting in the bios. I dont know what it is or why its doing it, hopefully someone here can help me diagnose the problem.

edit: going to add that it also freezes a decent amount, far more than normal.

edit2: ever since turning on driver verify my computer freezes and restarts like no tomorrow, we're talking about every 5min to every 30min, even before windows fully boots. I dotn know what to do from here though.

    Welcome to Seven Forums.

May be the computer has got infected by a virus. So first update your virus definitions and then run a full virus check. After run the System File Checker (SFC) SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Hi and welcome,

Overheating could cause this. Try cleaning the inside of your pc and make sure it is free of dust.

Also, try running a RAM test as this can cause freezing and rebooting. Follow the guide here: http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/topic...ing-memtest86/

Ive already ran memtest and had no errors in both sticks of ram, i would have thought it was overheating, but i just put the pc together and it started restarting after loading up windows and installing the drivers with the cd.

Ok new thing, everything was fine, i put in sfc /scannow and at about 11% the computer insta restarted.

    Dear slimmdimm,
I agree with Shri.wanchoo! You can also download SuperAntiSpyware Portable onto a USB stick and just run it. The site to download:SUPERAntiSpyware.com - SUPERAntiSpyware Portable Scanner

SuperAntiSpyware is a misleading name, as it can remove not only spyware but also Trojans and more sinister "wares"!

After that ,kindly view this tutorial as to how to run sfc /scannow command which can repair any damaged files.SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Do not despair,
    regards,
    sreedhav
