What program are you using when you open a new window?

I use Firefox and just tried Rt click / Open new window.
It opened a new window in the "Last saved position" for FF.

I normally open links by clicking the scroll wheel so they open in a new tab (for me).

Usually when you move it up once, it comes back into that new position the next time. Is that not happening.

You may maximize the chrome window when using it.

Do all programs work this way for you, or just Chrome?

Can you try using IE and see if that remembers the last position?

Afetr you open a new window, hold down CTRL and positon the window in place, release CTRL first. If that doesn't work try using the SHIFT key instead.

Media center does not remember window position
Hello again! Day three of 7 Ultimate x64 and, though still getting used to some minor differences from Vista x64, everything is running smoothly! One "quirk" I seem to have run into though, is media center does not seem to want to remember it's last position like media center in Vista did. I...

Window - same size & same position not working
Up until a week ago I could minimize an open file that would fill the top half of my screen and it would go all the way from the right side to the left. After maximizing the window and then minimizing it again, it would be the same size and position as it was before. My screen resolution is 1366 x...

Restore Default Window position.
I've searched here and on Google for an answer to this. In most programs, specifically Winamp at the moment, when I select an option that opens a Sub-Window it is placed low on the screen hiding the OK and Cancel buttons so to select either you first have to Move the Window up. IIRC this also has...

Something I like and can't seem to get Win 7 to do for me..... I open a window for my computer, size it and set it at the upper left of my screen. I open folders in new windows; i.e. open the D: Drive and position it next to the window I opened for my computer. Close both. When I open my...
