Hi,
As the title says, if I turn my computer off, wait for every hard drive to stop spinning, then turn my subwoofer off at the switch on the back (not stand by mode) it will turn the computer back on again...
I thought it was some kind of WOL or something, but i've turned all that off and it still keeps waking it up.
Any ideas?

I've never used subwoofers or had any nice speakers for that matter, but how are the speakers set up? Do any other speakers have power buttons, if so this doesn't happen when you turn them off? How many plugs are there going from the speakers to the computer, and what exactly are they? I remember in my old computer's BIOS there was a "wake on mouse input" and/or "wake on keyboard input", could you have something similar to that enabled in your BIOS?
Oh sorry forgot to mention, the only way they connect to the computer is a simple 3.5mm jack. The same way headphones or any other sound device connects...
Never heard of those settings in the BIOS though, I'll take a look and let you know
So the subwoofer is connected just like the rest are, then I'd surmise one of two things:
1. something in the BIOS is making it do that
2. something is f*#$ed with your PSU and/or the pins on the motherboard that connect to your power button(<-- the beginning of that is not professional)
Has it always been like this?
maybe it's some kind of power surge...
is everything connected to a surge protector?
can you plug the sub into another outlet / circuit using an extension cord?
Weird, sounds like an electrical short.

Could be a power surge. Both the computer and speak/sub are connected to a 6 gang with surge protection in it...

You could look in your BIOS for a power loss setting.
Try the option to leave the system off if it's set to something else.
Here is what I have for this in my Gigabyte MB manual:
AC Back Function
Determines the state of the system after the return of power from an AC power loss.
- Soft-Off The system stays off upon the return of the AC power. (Default)
- Full-On The system is turned on upon the return of the AC power.
- Memory The system returns to its last known awake state upon the return of the AC power
You should have all your components connected to a surge protector. When you turn off the surge protector nothing else can turn on. If you need more outlets connect more but to the other surge protector. There should be 1 plug going to the wall. When you hit the switch no more power to anything. Problem solved.
Think I solved it, had a flick through the BIOS and everything was relatively uninteresting until I found wake on PME event. I turned this off and yeah, seems to work. Can no longer turn it on by turning the speaker on :)

AddRAM: Yeah you are right but I guess bad practice and habit are whats stopping me. I have 2 surge protectors coming from the dual wall sockets each more or less full, at night (or whenever I turn my PC off) I just shutdown. I never turn them off at the wall.
