Built in mechanism to check files during installation?

Is there any built in mechanism in Windows 7 during the fresh installation that all files are copied successfully from DVD to hard drive? or as long as Windows 7 completes the installation no matter how fast/slow it takes, one can assumed that all files are copied successfully?

Mine took about 25 mins, but during the installation lots of long pauses while reading/copying files from my 4X DVR+RW to hard drive as if Windows couldn't find files or constantly waiting from the rewritable 4X DVR+RW), but it eventually competed the installation in 25 mins none the less without giving out any error messages.

    Thanks.

    you might try
cmd sfc /scannow it checks for any corrupt system files.
