Taskbar and Start Menu Properties problem

Recently opened programs does not appear in the start menu.

    Windows help shows

    1. Click to open Taskbar and Start Menu Properties.
    2. Click the Start Menu tab, and then click Customize.
    3. In the Customize Start Menu dialog box, in the Number of recent programs to display box, enter the number of programs you want to display on the Start menu, click OK, and then click OK again.
Both the check boxes are disabled so I cannot make any changes.

    Please help. Windows 7 Ultimate

Hello Ray, and welcome to Seven Forums.

It sounds like they may have been disabled somehow. You might see if you may be able to enable both them again using the tutorial below.

Recent Items - Enable or Disable

    and

Recent Programs - Enable or Disable

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
