Hi postwarbreakout,
Do you have the taskbar on auto hide? That may be why it's overlapping, then again maybe not. I would suggest locking the taskbar too if you haven't. Just right click on the task bar and go to properties and it will say "taskbar location on screen" click on the bar and pick what you want.

Hello Postwarbreakout, and welcome to Seven Forums.
I would agree with Airbot. It seems like you may have Auto-hide turned on.

If you still want the taskbar at the top of the screen, then this will help show you how as well.

Hope this helps,

Yes, Brink has many tutorials. It would be wise to browse through them all.

thanks for the answers, but i couldn't solve the problem. the taskbar isn't on auto-hide and locked too. all programs act like the taskbar isn't there, like the toast-message in windows live messenger. normally it appears over the taskbar, but now it's total at the bottom of the screen.. i'm really becoming desperate
Postwarbreakout,
Could you post a screenshot of this to help us see exactly what you mean? It may help narrow it down quicker for you.
well, seems to be caused by some softeware. re-installed windows 7 as upgrade, problem still there. i have no idea which program it could be.. seems like i'm the only betatester with that problem
Postwarbreakout,
You may be in the F11 full screen mode. Try pressing F11 when the window is overlapping everything to see if that can return it to a normal maximzed window.
Hope this helps,
Shawn
