Windows 7 repair not working and no recovery, pls help
I am now at comand promt, ater selecting advanced recovery since i have no backup. Any ideas as to what i should type? X=\windows\system32>

I take it you cannot boot into windows.
Any error messages when you try?
Restart your computer. Start taping on the F10 key. This should take you directly to System Recovery. Just keep selecting Recovery when prompted. Reinstall Windows to factory state.
I believe this is what your asking for...correct?
Siw2, you know im pretty clueless Bout some computer lingo, but when i boot up computer i get system repair, over & over it does nothing. I ran diag no errors, however states changes to config may have caused prob.
Now I am at comand promp, no idear what to type?? No recovery info, online backup member ran out, moot point now!
It wont even let me start in safe mode!!

Hey quick draw thanks 4 info, i hadn't tried f8, just f12.... However there are no backups or image recovery on computer. But can't hurt to try!! Thanks again for yiur advice!!
Okay quick, did it, however im not getting recovery option, but theres lots of info here......

Edit windows boot options for: start vaio care
Path: \windows\system32\boot\winload.exe
[ /minint RDIMAGEOFFSET=8192 RDIMAGELENGTH=3161088 RDPATH=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk
(0)partition(1)\sources\boot.wim
i used zeros above, but could be letter o??

Now that you are at Command Prompt, the best command you can give is
sfc /scannow
This will automatically scan and repair even the protected windows OS!

If your not entering the Recovery Manager window, you might not have a Recovery Partition on your HDD. In this case, you'll need Windows 7 Recovery software. Is your computer a Sony?

Sreed, thanks for info, however prior to getting ur reply i followed Quicks advice & restared f8, which came up with alot of "stuff" after looking at it 4 awhile i noticed the bottom said enter, so i did.
Seriously appreciate your time and advice!!
