    Open same Programs at Restart that I had at Shut Down


    Hi there,

    Is there anyway that I can get windows to repoen all the programs I had open when I last shut the machine down when I re-start it? i.e. same work processors programming tool with the same files open and ideally curser in the same place?

    Just seems I loose so much time opening and shutting the PC?

    In explorer go to Tools, Folder Options, and under the View Tab check the box for "Restore previous folder windows at logon". I don't think there is any way to preserve a running program or an open documents etc, on a reboot. Sleep or hibernate maybe but on a reboot, good luck with that.
