You may have luck with a bootable live CD. Many anti-virus products come with a (usually free) Linux live CD available for download.. I've had particular luck with this AVG.

Download DDS from one of these links:
Mirror 1 Mirror 2 Mirror 3
Put it on a "Clean" flash drive then install it on the infected computer. Right click to run as Administrator.
  • Disable any script blocking protection
  • Double click the dds icon to run the tool.
  • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
    1. DDS.txt
    2. Attach.txt <--- will be minimized in the task tray
  • Save both reports to your desktop.
Include the contents of both logs in your next post.

Ram Usage way too high, not showing up properly in task manager
I had 2gb of ram and upgraded to 8gb recently. I really saw the performance at first but then it dropped off to where it was before pretty quickly. Right now my task manager performance tab shows 5.7 GB of ram being used, while adding up everything manually in the "processes" tab (and rounding...

*32 by some programs in Task Manager
I saw this for the first time today. At first I panicked and thought I had a virus, but now I figure this is probably due to that recent massive security upgrade MS sent out on Wednesday. Some of my programs have a *32 just to the right of them. I'm going to guess that it's to distinguish 32-bit...
