Windows 7: Some Desktop icons, not displaying properly

I've just installed win 7 HP 64bit on a machine for a friend, i've updated everything, excluding IE9, i don't like it...anyway... only programs installed are
webroot A/V + F/W
defraggler
malwarebytes
spyware blaster
winrar
ability office

i started getting scritp errors when in IE8, so i tried a system restore to when i didn't get them, but, but they've came back!!!!

but, now i've noticed that a few of the installed programs icons are just like there is no reconised program for it. they still work
even reinstalling defraggler, the icon stays the same

any ideas???
