Windows 7: Can not find desktop extension option

Using dell inspiron mini,1gb ram, widow 7 , intel graphic accelerator 3150,32bits , cannot find the option to extend to my benz projector.win log + p , it show i can duplicate, projector only and laptop only . Pls help is urgent.

On most laptops toggling Fn + F5 will go between laptop screen only, then external screen (connected to VGA port), then both together - look at the symbol below the F5 key and if it shows a small screen then that is what it should do.

But think u don't understand what i mean.when connect a projector to a laptop it must give an option to extend that u have primary and secondary monitor so that when are doing something on primary monitor which will not show on the secondary projector. And that option to extend is not showing on my laptop.

Do you have Windows Starter? If so, it doesn't support extended monitors - it only supports mirroring.
