Without knowing what the error is and what HD has an error it is difficult to give you the best approach.
If someone knows how to re-enable the dismissed warning and that solves this, cool...but

Ignoring HD issues and warnings can result in losing personal data, a PC that will not boot-up, etc.
If it's a SMART warning, you may have a HD fail anytime and all data may be lost.

You should get the HD diagnostic utility from the HD manufacturer's website and use it.

You can also run check disk on all the hard drives.
    Disk Check

If you run Check Disk on a HD that is ready to fail, it may push it over the edge.

How important is your data and OS/Programs install?

    Hi there,

Please determine your HDD manufacturer and run the corresponding HDD diagnostic utility from the link below:

Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.

You can also use a third party program like HD Tune PRO to check the health of your HDD, in addition to disk errors.

Based on your last reply it sounds like you don't have to worry about losing data.
Follow instructions from ReviverSoft to make sure the HD is safe to use.
If you still have issues, I recommend attaching a screen print of your disk management with this HD attached.
If this HD was used with a prior OS, Linux, etc. you should post that info.
It could help the experts here give the best help/suggestions going forward.
