How to determine if my machine has Direct X, and which version

    Hi all :)

Did a search here for Direct X, DirectX and Direct-X, but with the amount of results, and the thread topics very untelling, I decided to start a new thread.

I have W7 Ult 64-bit. If I type Direct in Start > Search, all I get is my Direct X ASIO driver for my soundcard. How do I determine if I have Direct X, and which version it is?

    Thanks!

You have to search for dxdiag in Start menu.
    Run DirectX Diagnostic Tool

Ah, that's how you do it. It says:

    DirectX Version: DirectX 11

I guess W7 comes with DX?

    Thanks for the quick response!

Yes, DirectX 11 out of the box.

But do not get too exited just yet. Your graphic card might not support v11.
