Drive icon and name suddenly changed

Yesterday I downloaded MS FixIt-portable tool having some issues with my
DVD-drive .When prompted i saved the file to my D:drive. After running
the tool icon on my D:drive changed to generic one and drive is renamed
    to- Fix it portable(D:)!

I tryed to rename it back to local disk(D:)but failed. How this happened and
    how to fix it?

Can you post a screen shot of your disk management screen?

No error message, and yes i can acces files on the drive.

In fact there was an error msg while running a Fix it module for solving DVD drive issue.
Other modules are working fine, but this one gives me :Error 0x80070057

    No luck with Pareto logic...
I did regedit, added new key to Explorer-D:drive/DefaultIcon,rebooted,nothing happened.
There must be solution for this but at the moment it is beyond me.

That error number tells you that specifically some of windows files are corrupt or not readable.

Try running a system file check.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Link is to tutorial on how to do this.
