    MS Paint only displaying a limited number of fonts

    When using MS Paint, only the fonts that start with "@" to the font "Kelt" are available for use. I have many more fonts installed than that. When I "hide" one of the fonts that are available, the next one alphabetically become available. What setting do I have to change to make all my fonts usable.

    Edited to Add: I checked and the same problem exists in Wordpad also.

    Is there ANY solution?

    Doesn't anybody have a solution? Or even a clue? I have 1600 fonts at my disposal yet am only able to use about 100 in MSPaint and MSWord. Is this a deliberate bug by Microsoft or what?

    I don't have a solution but I opened it up and I have the same problem. So I think its just how the program is built. I'd suggest either GIMP (a free photo editor) or of course Photoshop. There is just so much more you can do :P

    And I'm not sure about MSWord but there is a free software called OpenOffice.Org that's almost a duplicate of all the MS Office applications. I don't know for sure if it allows all fonts but I'd imagine it dose (;

    Have a look at this article: Frequently encountered problems with fonts
    Is it in all programs this issue occurs?

    I have looked at GIMP and Paint.net and it it is obvious that for a simple paint program they have suffered from extreme featuritis. They are way more complicated than I need or want. Also, some of the programs I use automatically use MSPaint for image editing. Plus MSPaint, for getting things done quickly, is the easy, quick and dirty solution.

    And it is NOT the fonts themselves. They work in every other program EXCEPT MSPaint and MSWordpad so far as I know. Wordperfect, Editpad, Open Office, etc. are all able to use ALL the fonts.

    You can't even ask Microsoft Support about this unless you PAY them...

    Try Option 2 of this tutorial SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
    or
    Repair Install

    Sure, you may be able SEE them, but can you USE them? Sure by clicking SEE MORE FONTS it take me to the fonts folder but what then? I can either hide them or unhide them? Still they are totally unavailable in Paint or WordPad
