    Cannot open my downloads folder


    The icon of my downloads folder is blank. Whenever I click it, it says, "Explorer.EXE This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default programs control panel." Someone please tell me how to fix this .

    Restore File Association from this thread > Default File Type Associations - Restore

    You would download the exe option from the tutorial link posted above and merge it as outlined in that tutorial. :)

Hi, I'm trying to assign my mouse a keyboard shortcut to open the Downloads folder. Can someone help me figure out how to do this? The mouse allows any combination of key. If it's not possible to shortcut to Downloads, might there be a fancy way to make it work??
When I download an email attachment, my Downloads folder used to open up instantly. Now it takes about 5 minutes to open. There is a green progress bar at the top that takes about 2 minutes to finish, then it just sits for another 3 minutes, then displays the files and folders within the Downloads...
HI all... This morning I cannot open the downloads folder. It worked fine yesterday, but today when I tried to open it (I can see it just fine using the link C:/users/joe/downloads) it simply does not open...no error message either. I can right click on it and get to properties...I can even go...
When I am downloading a file I used to be able to click on View Download and it would open up a new window with all of my downloads and the status. That doesn't work now also if I go to press Ctrl+J that doesn't work. Any suggestions?? Thanks
