It would take the lifetime of an individual and still he may not have learnt all the secrets and tricks in the Registry that you are looking for.

To learn just a few of them, you look at Google.

Please be warned that Registry editing is a tricky matter and if you mess up your computer in doing so then please don't blame me. It is always wise to back up the Registry before editing so that you may be able to restore your current Registry in case of anything going wrong.

Not possible! Registry hacks are not intended for general use, but, most often, to solve a specific issue or behavior. Therefore, it is best to leave it unedited as a general rule.

these are probably the best two registry secrets and tricks you'll ever learn.

oh, and it's a good idea to stay away from software that claims to 'clean', 'optimise' or 'defrag' your registry - they often do much more harm than good.

Every OS ever created has its weak points, and although Microsoft's introduction of the registry was considered to be one of the greatest contributions to the improvement of the usability, stability and vulnerability over their older OSs, it was also quite often referenced as the most vulnerable component of their OS. Any damage to the registry could render the system useless. Many experts had called it the Achille's heel of the OS. And, it is.

Leave it alone. Messing with the registry for the sake of doing so is only going to lead to negative things.

Everyone has given you great advice.

If you want to learn about PC's, Windows, etc., that's cool.
Learning is wonderful.

The first thing you should do is learn about backup and restore.
When you are confident you have a strategy that works you can then start learning and trying registry changes and anything else.
If you can't restore your system after you "tweak it", you will regret it.
