Windows 7: Windows 7 clock

Windows 7 clock

running win 7 ultimate 64 bit and several weeks ago, when booting, the real time clock in the lower right desktop
defaults to 3/7/2012..I reset I and it holds time until rebooted (the "apply" in the reset function is greyed out).
The battery is good and I have done the reset in BIOS but
still goes to 3/7/2012 (after resetting the system will hold
time until rebooted).I've also tried system restore back
several months..no change. Any Ideas ??

Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit

Hi Quick.,
I can't get the repair to run correctly..When trying the Visa compatibility, says it is no longer supported and if I use Win 7 compatibility, says my system is newer than what I am trying to load. The Clock is
a software problem..I tried Ubantu and the clock works fine.
Anyone have any idea what the Window 7 clock files are that could be causing this ?
TIA,
JB

Click on the clock in the taskbar and then click on "change date and time settings". When the dialog pops up, click on the internet time tab. Is it set to automatically sync? If so, click on change settings - what server is being used?

Have you considered running a malware scan? Malwarebytes is the scanner that many of us use.

Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer

You might also want to consider syncing your computer clock with an atomic clock.

Kegobeer,
It is now set on "Time,Nist,gov"--I've tried all this before with
no Joy..Computer holds tiime when set after rebooting, but when booting always comes up with: "March 7,2012 at 6:35PM"

Vixen,
I've run many malware and virus programs, including the one you suggested...all report a CLEAN system,
Thanks

Does the problem persists even while booting into safe mode?
Is your Time zone correctly set?
Also check that the time in bios is correct.
