Windows 7: Boot Manager

Boot Manager

Im trying to get to Boot Manager after one drunken night and doing something to my laptop. Originally it automatically went to start repair and said it was fixing disk, that was going on for hours. Then power was switched off, silly idea. Now when I switch on, I can't get to anywhere, all I get on screen is startup menu which is not helping me as I assume I need to get to Boot Manager so I can repair, again! I am not a PC master and would appreciate some guidance. Hope I put enough info for help. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, no discs. Laptop was second hand. Previously owned by co I worked for. No chance of dealing with them !

First boot into BIOS setup to see if HD is still detected. If not you'll need to try reinstalling it or replace it if you can't get it recognized in BIOS.

If HD appears then work through these steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot - Windows 7 Forums

Check your optical drives, USB ports, and floppy drives for media. Often times, the "BOOTMGR is Missing" error will appear if your PC is trying to boot to a non-bootable disc, external drive, or floppy disk.
Even though a Startup Repair is a common solution for BOOTMGR problems.

Method 1: Repair the BCD store by using the Startup Repair option

Method 2: Rebuild the BCD store by using the Bootrec.exe tool
