    Anyone got a replacement imageres.dll

Me, like an idiot replaced the "imageres.dll" without backing up the original and have Icons that I liked at the time but with my new theme do not go well.

Can anyone attatch me their imageres.dll file please so I can restore to the default Icons?

    Windows 7 SP1 32 Bit.

I tried an SFC Scan and restoring the Previous Version through Properties. No luck ;(

Before I go ahead and reinstall to another partition, replace the imageres file and delete the partition, is there anyone who can send me the replacement file.

    Many thanks.

    Thank you, now repaired.

The joy of the original icons :)

I think I could not replace it before was due to UAC. System File Replacer from deviantart along with rebuilding the Icon Cache worked.

Thanks for the links, but I have a question - I have Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 32bit, but I have a Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit DVD, it not service pack 1, so would there be any problem?

No - they are free to download.

I've used them to re-install W7 when the computer has a valid windows 7 certificate of authenticity attached.

They will do just fine during your SFC
