Strange "locked" data after BSOD

Hello everybody, I'm sorry if the title is a bit undescriptive or confusing but I am not sure what the correct terminology is. Long story short, I had a BSOD (the only one I ever had) which was caused by the punkbuster service. That does not worry me, but what is intriguing is that when I went to defragment my hard drive as usual (after this BSOD) there appears to be a big string of "locked" blocks of data as you can see here: View image: what . Now I know that the ones I drew a black rectangle over are restore points, I'm referring to that continuous string (above) which I drew a red rectangle over. That did not appear that way before and I have no clue what it could be, or what it means. Any ideas ? Thank you for your time, and I hope I have made myself understood and posted in the right place.
