I had 3 hardrives I formate one of them double checked not to be C drive and now I can't boot? It says there is no boot device. I tried reinstalling windows and I can't install to my primary drive but it says it's partition 2 for some reason how do change it back?

First make sure the Win7 HD is set as first HD to boot in BIOS setup.
If it still fails to boot, then mark Active the Win7 partition or it's System reserved boot partition (preferred): Mark Partition Active.
Then run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times until Win7 boots on its own and holds the System Active flags.
Unplug all other HD's while you do this. Make sure Win7 HD remains set first to boot in BIOS setup going forward.
If this fails you can post back a camera snap of your drive map and listings after booting free Partition Wizard bootable CD.
Or you can remove all but the target HD for reinstall, boot the Win7 DVD to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 - the steps are the same for retail and include the latest official installer with SP1 and how to rescue your files.
sorry i have to type this from an iphone because my computer wont boot. I have 3 hard drives C:OS D: secondary and G: random old hard drive. I formatted G and now i cant boot after formatting. I tried to reinstall windows to my primary drive and it says i cant, but what i noticed it is in partition 2 not 1 and it became an F drive somehow. How can i change it back to partition 1 even though i cant boot.
I gave you the steps above to write/repair the System boot files on the remaining Win7 partition, after unplugging all other HD's and setting the partition Active, making sure it is set as first HD to boot in BIOS setup.
You probably had the boot files on the partition you deleted, or the wrong HD became set first HD to boot in BIOS setup.
I made made partition 1 active but still can't boot to be exact error Status: 0xc000000f

If Win7 will not boot after deleting another HD partition it is likely because that partition held the System boot files. They are sometimes derailed during repairs to a partition which is accidentally marked Active.
Regardless of how it happened, the way to fix it is to Unplug all other HD's and make sure Win7 HD is set first HD to boot in BIOS setup, mark Active Win7 partition or it's 100mb System Reserved partition if you have it, then run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times with reboots until Win7 boots on its own.
I've now repeated this three times.
Ok I tried the startup repair but it fails because it's offline does that matter?

Are you running Startup Repair from a known-good Installation DVD or System Repair Disk?

Have you unplugged all other HD's, set Win7 HD as first to boot in BIOS setup? Then trigger the DVD/CD to boot using one-time BIOS Boot Menu key.
If these all fail unplug all other HD's, boot the Win7 DVD, press Shift + F10 at first screen to open a Command Line, run Diskpart Clean Command .
Then Clean Reinstall
