They are just .bmp files in C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper on XP. You can copy them from there and put them somewhere on your Win 7 hard drive then set any one you want as a desktop background. Code: 08/04/2004 07:00 AM 63,244 Ascent.jpg

The download site they take you to, depositfiles.com reeks. You get a choice of free, ultra slow or $$$, normal speed. Click free and you get a 60 seconds countdown clock before the ultra slow download starts. Why would MS pick a crappy site like that? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Precision 370 OS Windows 7 Pro X64 CPU Intel Pentium 4 Dual LP 3.4Ghz Memory 4GB DDR PC2-5200 ECC Graphics Card NVIDIA Quadro FX 3400/4400 Sound Card SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio Monitor(s) Displays HP 22" w2207 LCD Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050 Hard Drives 300GB Maxtor 6L300RD PATA

That is some collectors' edition and not MS. I haven't heard any dire reasons not to trust Digital Life lately.
But it seems to have most national editions backgrounds. I put them in a slideshow on most of my installs and they get as many raves as the OS. | My System Specs

I know MS spent a lot of money getting the best quality background shots for Windows 7 and they dazzle many users including myself to this day.
So when I came across this collection I downloaded it and have used it as a background slideshow to polish off my installs ever since.
But since it isn't much appreciated here I won't share it any longer. | My System Specs

And I'm assuming by "slide show", you mean you select to change walpaper every X minutes? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Made OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU Intel 2500k @4.5ghz 66deg max P95/IBT Motherboard Gigabyte Z68A-D3-B3 Memory 8 Gigs Patriot Viper 2 Extreme @1600 Graphics Card EVGA GTX 580 3 GIG 35degrees idle Sound Card Nvidia HD audio via HDMI to 7.1 Receiver Monitor(s) Displays 32" Olevia hdtv Screen Resolution 1080p Keyboard Logitech wireless Combo, G13 Mouse G300 PSU Corsair vx550w Case Thermaltake V3 black Cooling CM 212+(push n pull) 4 case fans Hard Drives 64gig SSD(OS/Apps)

Hi James -
Download all to a folder in Pictures, edit out any you don't like.
Then rightclick on blank area of Desktop, select Personalize, then Desktop Background. Click the Browse button to find the folder with Backgrounds.
Select it and it will load all of the backgrounds into the Explorer window and should auto-select them all with a checkmark - if not choose Select All. Set slideshow to recommended 30 minutes and Shuffle (so it isn't predictable). Save Changes.
You'll roughly have a new background every time you start computer, with enough variety to always seem fresh. | My System Specs | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:32 AM.
