Windows 7: How do I re-adjust the taskbar icons(turned sideways)?

I returned today from work and saw that all my desktop and taskbar icons have turned sideways. Right-clicking on the desktop I've managed to return the desktop icons to their original state using the display options, but the taskbar icons are still turned sideways. Using the Screen Orientation option in Windows 7 didn't help.

Anyway to solve this problem?

Please read the information for how to upload a screenshot or file. What you posted, the little strip above the post from Kaktussoft, looks fine.

Look carefully on the taskbar icons - they are turned sideways.

And what is wrong with my screenshot? I cannot find any information for how to upload a screenshot so if you can post a link I'll edit my post

Open task manager and right click explorer.exe>End process>End process. Now, File>Run
type explorer.exe. If solved good, no, move on to next step.
If this has started happening recently, you can try system restore to. System Restore
If this also doesn't work, run a system file scan. It could be that some system files might have been tampered with. SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Posting a screenshot of the problem area would have helped me immediately see the problem, posting an entire screen is not necessary. See the screenshot below for clarification;
