Windows Blind actually has a feature which enables you to minimize programs to tray.
As to what I've said, a 3rd party software would only be the cause of this, and there does exist one, Windows Blind. You've probably accidentally changed some settings with Windows Blind. You have probably solved the problem by disabling/uninstalling Windows Blind. If you'd like to still use Windows Blind but do not want the Minimize to System Tray feature. Go to "Window Blinds Configuration" > Settings > User Overrides > Advanced Settings. There you'll find:
"Make minimize button minimize to the tray" Disable this.
I'd recommended knowing what you change with any software, so that it would be easy to trace a cause of a problem, whether it's from a misconfiguration or a bug.
