    hard drive need formating no os on there


    i need to format my hard drive because windows was dammaged and not bootable it is healthy i have checked. is there a iso i can burn that i can use to format it. i need to get it done soon please as i need it for work.

    Your specs say this is a custom built computer with Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.

    You can use your Windows installation disc and run Diskpart from that disk. Hit Shift F10 at the language screen.

    If you don't have a disc, you can download an ISO for Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit from Mydigitallife.info. Burn it to a disk, boot from it, and go to Diskpart.

    no this is my netbook i have been tryiing to get it fixed for a ages now so just fe up with it and it seems the only way of fixing it

    so yeah i jsut want to format the whole disk without having to installl a os before

    Just for reference, to get you're data off the drive if you don't have a backup of it use this. Use Ubuntu Live CD to Backup Files from Your Dead Windows Computer - How-To Geek

    Or use Partition Wizard to do it.

    dont really need the data on there anyway because i backup to dropbox so not needed i just need a computer for work is there a way to format

    When you boot the installer and choose Custom install, it gives you Drive Options to delete all partitions, create new as you wish, then Format before install. If you have no partition scheme in mind you can just Delete all and click Next and the installer will create and format your install partition for you.
