Stop Unwanted startup programs:
Start > Run > write msconfig > Click on StartUp tab
Deselect the programs you want to stop
Services.msc:
Click Start, type services.msc in the Search box. Press ENTER. Right click and stop each service which is not necessary for you.
Normal Load Up is the default choice and option. If you start to make changes and disable some startup programs it will change to selective startup without user intervation.
NO need to change those settings they will change alone.
If you run into a new issue or problem we may ask you to change some settings but for now Normal/Selective are both good options
For best performance and least problems, enter msconfig>Startup and uncheck everything except your AV and gadgets/stickies if you use them.
After several reboots, enter msconfig>Services, Hide all MS Services and do the same.
Check back periodically that nothing writes itself back in. If so turn it off in its Program Preferences or Uninstall it. Freeloaders hog your RAM/CPU, slow startup and can spy on you.
You now have a clean boot.
