Unless I misunderstand your situation, you have complete control over whether or not any Windows Update item is installed. Just say no if you don't want them.

I'm still puzzled as to why you don't answer direct questions.

However, if you don't want an update, just right-click it and choose Hide.

I don't normally reccommend that because it is a security hazard and, you may miss out on performance enhancements and other bug fixes.

You need to have Windows Updates set to Automatic and accept all Important and Optional Updates unless there is a specific reason which you have cleared with us.

As with SP's, if you don't have Win7 Updates current then you really don't have Win7.
