    C drive low disk space

C drive is showing "space free 1.49GB of 19.5GB" whereas when I'm selecting all the files inside C drive its showing 16.7GB on disk. So C drive has 2.8GB free, But showing only 1.47GB free. Where is the space allocated?

Press Windows key+R> type cleanmgr> make sure drive c is selected>press enter.
Let it run>a window will open. Make sure everything's checked and click OK.
Also download Ccleaner. Install and run it. Go to settings (Options), uncheck 'Only delete files older than 24hours.' come to the cleaner section, tick 'Windows error reporting' in left pane and click analyse>run cleaner.
See how much free space is there now.
    CCleaner - Download

There are also files in the System Volume Information folder that's used for restore points. Use something like WinDirStat to see a map of your drive: WinDirStat - Windows Directory Statistics

Select the appropriate settings under Options to ensure you're viewing everything.

Hello Guddu, and welcome to Seven Forums.

In addition, the tutorial below may be able to help determine what is taking up your HDD space, and to free up some where able.

Hard Disk Space - Free Up and Recover

    Hope this helps,

    Hello guddu,

That is because there are hidden files in your C: Drive (which are important ie. system files). 1.47GB is a minuscule amount of space.
You may use the following to increase your space:
Disk Cleanup - Open and Use
CCleaner - Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download

Do you have any other drives and is C: for Windows only?. it may be better to assign more space to the drive where Windows is located. Here's how. Partition or Volume - Extend
