Hi, mine and my husband's laptop (Sony Vaio - VPCEB47GM running Windows 7 Pro Operating Sys. believed to be 32-bit.)
Can not verify if it is 32 or 64, because the system turns on, you can see the Windows display as it prepares to load... Then nothing. The Computer did have recent (within the last couple of days) two "important" Windows updates that have been installed.
The computer (if sometimes left to log on long enough) will possibly if we are lucky go to the desktop, however; once it reaches the desktop it is so slow that it is almost less fusterating to have it not come on at all.
We have tried loging into safe mode but it is so far unsuccessful and we have tried to do a system resore through the F12 feature. Even though restore points are listed, we are unable to get the machine to restore to a previous point, sometimes receiving an error, stating that a peice of the memory can not be read. We have done a memory test on the computer through the same option screen but it comes back that there are no memory problems.
Please we need help, We are at our wits end. Being full time students at the last quarter of schooling we desperatly need our systems up and running. If not perfectly at least somewhat functionally to get what we need off of it for the time being.
Thanks in advance!
Here are the specs minus the actual 32 or 64, looking it up on line though and it should be a 64-bit.
