I have an Admin account and a user account.
win 7 makes it so much easier to work that way than XP.
But that is not what i'm considering.

I'm thinking if a bullet proof box - or rather - one that I don't care if it gets all shot up. Like when you go gunning and you toss your whore gun in the truck so that you can "lend" it to mikey the moocher who is too cheap to buy his own. It's that gun you bought at a flea market 20 years ago for $50 and you don't care that he'll get mud in the barrel and drop it.

So when I'm being a bad boy on the interwebbs and get infected and crashed by the web dwarfs, I can just F-disk format reinstall and start over with nary a care in the world.

A good way to do what you want is to save externally or to another HD a Win7 backup image so if Win7 becomes irreparable you can boot the Win7DVD or System Repair Disk to reimage it's HD or a replacement in 20 minutes: Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup

To assure you have the latest file set without having to back it up you can move your files on another partition or HD in the same User folder setup, then rightclick link them to the related Library - Include a Folder - Windows 7 Forums. But if you want a ghost set of your User files kept sync'ed then you can use SyncToys to do this in real time.

All you need to do is keep "clean" system images. I keep quite a number spanned over time. When things go bad just reimage to a better time.

I also keep a cold standby HDD (ie. not connected but in a HDD bay). It is not installed and operational until it is connected. I consider it as legal as an image but I can be up and running in minutes if my main HDD suddenly dies. However, I think a spare blank HDD requiring a reimage is almost as good.
