Certain characters not showing up

    Do you use any registry cleaners? Since when are you seeing this? try a System Restore to a date before that.

    I don't but it's been like this since I reinstalled windows a few weeks ago I think so there is not much point in doing that.

    no, as you can see in the few screenshots i posted it is blackletter and also a number of other misc symbols that don't work, such as hearts, stars, ticks and crosses and many many more

    If your problem is with just Blackletter try downloading it from another site.

    *sigh* it's not just with blackletter and it's not something you download. they're writable characters.

    What if you create a new user account? Do you experience the same problems there? User Account - Create

    I am not talking about a new firefox user but a new Windows user.

    Try this:

    Start> In search box type fonts> Enter> Font settings on left> See if Hide fonts based on language settings is checked, or unchecked (mine is checked)> Try the setting with it checked and unchecked

    You can also click the Reset default font settings if that does not work.
