I'd google "moo2 DPLAY.dll" and see what solutions are listed on the Atari forums.

I think it's been re-named dplayx.dll since Vista.
You can find it here: C:\Windows\SysWOW64
I also found the reference below for the same problem. It suggests copying the file and naming the copy dplay.dll

The first link when googling goes to the Atari forums, and the thread explains how to get this older game working with Windows 7 - both 32 and 64 bit versions. There's more to it than just copying/renaming a file - it appears explorer must be terminated, and the complete instructions are provided.

checked atari forums and for some reason it wont show any search results. I cannot find the dplayx.dll in system 32 or syswow64. bummer

yeah the origional thread on the atari forum is talking about vista i have windows seven. I tried the notepad option but that did not work either. opening the note pad file launches dos but the same error comes up. Stinks!

Carwiz was kind enough to find it for you.
Make a copy in the syswow64 directory, and rename it to dplay.dll. Then, for good measure, copy dplay.dll to the system32 directory and the orion directory.

I cant find the dplayx.dll file if thats what you mean by copying. I looked in system 32 and syswow64. I;m not sure if thats what you're referring to by "copy"

cool found the file copied and renamed and it works but it does look like there is more to it like disabling windows or something. Which of course I do not know how to do. I might try and play it like this anyway for now.

If system files are hidden, it won't show up.
Open Windows Explorer, click Tools in the menu, then click on Folder Options, View tab.
In the box under Advanced settings, click orb for "Show hidden files..." and uncheck "Hide protected..."

Use the batch file you created, per the instructions on the Atari forum. If you still have issues, you will probably have to play this game in a virtual XP machine - either using VM or XP mode (if your version of Windows 7 supports XP mode).
