since new hard drive, computer is very slow

    Right, let's clarify... was the hard drive the only thing you changed or did you also change other components?

    The videocard was in the original build.

    And all I changed was my hard drive, and my friend had two sticks, one is a 1 gb, and the other is a 2 gb. Before, my system has two 1 gbs I believe.
